Course Overview: In accordance with OSHA 1910.34 through 1910.39 standards and NFPA 101-2000 Life Safety Code ll, employees should have building safety training and instructions for what to do in the event of any emergency. Training must be effective in protecting workers, patients, and visitors in preventing injuries, illnesses, and deaths. Included in the building safety training are general safety items, such as how to avoid things like slips, trips, and falls, fire safety plans, electrical safety, hazardous materials, and chemical dangers, natural disaster and evacuation plans, campus, and parking lot security.
