2018 MIPS Eligibility Tool Has Been Released

MIPS Participation Tool

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the MIPS Participation Tool has been updated. You can now check on your 2018 eligibility for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).

What is the¬ 2018 MIPS Eligibility Tool?

For 2018, there have been changes to the Low-Volume Threshold. According to CMS this should reduce the burden on smaller practices, like clinicians, if they:

  • Billed $90,000 or less in Medicare Part B charges¬ for covered professional services under the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS)

OR

  • They furnished covered professional services, under the PFS to 200 or fewer Medicare Part B -enrolled beneficiaries
