It's begun; a sudden, nationwide revalidation effort that's hitting you off the normal cycle. CMS is kicking into high gear. The initial waves of revalidation notices have hit a total of 126,184 providers nationwide as of February 1, 2012, averaging roughly 31,000 revalidations sent every month.
If you haven't received your letter yet, you will soon. Even worse, if you have multiple providers, you won't get notices for all of them at once, you're likely to see notices come in weeks or months apart. Each time a notice arrives in the mail, a 60-day countdown starts for you to submit a complete enrollment for the affected provider.
Miss the deadline and your payments will be delayed, putting pressure on you to catch every tiny mistake you might have made before your cash flow is restored.
