Course Overview: This training is for employees to have a better understanding of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI). STIs are transmitted from an infected person to an uninfected person typically through sexual contact. While sexually transmitted infections affect individuals of all ages, STIs take a particularly heavy toll on young people. CDC estimates that youth ages 15-24 makeup just over one-quarter of the sexually active population, but account for half of the 20 million new sexually transmitted infections that occur in the United States each year.
